Teach me, my God and King,
\nIn all things Thee to see,
\nAnd what I do in anything
\nTo do it as for Thee.<\/p>\n
To scorn the senses’ sway,
\nWhile still to Thee I tend:
\nIn all I do be Thou the Way,
\nIn all be Thou the End.<\/p>\n
All may of Thee partake;
\nNothing so small can be
\nBut draws, when acted for Thy sake,
\nGreatness and worth from Thee.<\/p>\n
If done to obey Thy laws,
\nE’en servile labors shine;
\nHallowed is toil, if this the cause,
\nThe meanest work divine.<\/p>\n
