My poem of the week this week is Blake\u2019s \u201cThe Lamb,\u201d a really nice poem for children telling them about Jesus the Lamb of God. Sometimes I love Blake\u2019s poems, sometimes I don\u2019t like them at all. This one is great.<\/p>\n
“The Lamb”<\/p>\n
Little Lamb who made thee<\/p>\n
Dost thou know who made thee<\/p>\n
Gave thee life & bid thee feed.<\/p>\n
By the stream & o’er the mead;<\/p>\n
Gave thee clothing of delight,<\/p>\n
Softest clothing wooly bright;<\/p>\n
Gave thee such a tender voice,<\/p>\n
Making all the vales rejoice!<\/p>\n
Little Lamb who made thee<\/p>\n
Dost thou know who made thee<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Little Lamb I’ll tell thee,<\/p>\n
Little Lamb I’ll tell thee!<\/p>\n
He is called by thy name,<\/p>\n
For he calls himself a Lamb:<\/p>\n
He is meek & he is mild,<\/p>\n
He became a little child:<\/p>\n
I a child & thou a lamb,<\/p>\n
We are called by his name.<\/p>\n
