We have really enjoyed it.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>O Lord, My Heart&#8217;s Not Lifted Up<\/em><\/strong><strong>\u00a0(Psalm 131)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>O Lord, my heart&#8217;s not lifted up;<br \/>\nMy eyes aren&#8217;t raised too high;<br \/>\nWith things too great and marvelous,<br \/>\nI am not occupied.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve learned to calm my fretful soul,<br \/>\nAnd hush my clam&#8217;ring fears;<br \/>\nMy soul is like a weaned, young child,<br \/>\nContent his mother&#8217;s near.<br \/>\nSo in the Lord let all the hope<br \/>\nOf God&#8217;s redeemed now be,<br \/>\nFrom this time forth and evermore,<br \/>\nThrough all eternity.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Only this morning did I discover that this metrical version was prepared <a href=\"http:\/\/theologyinverse.blogspot.com\/2013\/05\/metrical-version-of-psalm-131.html\">by Justin Wainscott<\/a>! I had picked it up from Chris Matthews but just assumed it came from a standard Psalter. Well done, Justin!<\/p>\n<p>Give it a try.
